Founded in 1872 by ten forward thinking women at Syracuse University, Alpha Phi is now one of the oldest and largest women’s fraternities in North America. Stretching from coast to coast with over 160 chapters internationally and more than 200,000 members.

Alpha Phi allows her members to develop life-long relationships based on mutual support and unconditional love. Alpha Phis enjoy the benefits of a sincere sisterhood throughout college and in every stage of their lives.

Alpha Phi's founders were ten of the first women to enter Syracuse University in 1872. These women valued their education above societal expectations and shared the desire to acquire knowledge and education. This is a value that all Alpha Phis still share today.
Service... hand to hand and heart to heart
Alpha Phi has long understood the value in serving others. Alpha Phis across North American donate their time, efforts, and dollars to assist those in need. The Alpha Phi Foundation is one of the oldest Greek foundations and works to build awareness and raise funds in support of women's heart health.

Alpha Phis are members for a lifetime and sincerely value the concept of loyalty. Members continue to be devoted, connected sisters throughout college and beyond.
